There are numerous vendors at the market offering handmade, homegrown, and secondhand goods to both tourists and locals. The market truly embodies its motto of “homemade, homegrown, and home-baked,” showcasing… a wide variety of handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, home items, and artworks. After exploring and making purchases, you can enjoy a leisurely walk down the main street and indulge in a morning coffee or brunch at one of the many cafes.

The Forster Farmer’s Market takes place every third Saturday of the month, providing a wonderful chance to indulge in the freshest farm produce. This market aims to support local farmers and artisans by… showcasing their homegrown or homemade goods from the Barrington Coast and nearby areas. You can explore an array of fruits, vegetables, eggs, gourmet sauces, jams, preserves, pure honey, plants, and more. The market is actively seeking new produce stalls, especially those offering items not yet available at our regular market. Join us in promoting and savoring the best of local agriculture and craftsmanship!

This bustling open-air market is situated by the harbor near the bridge, conveniently visible from Tuncurry’s main street. It features local stallholders from the Barrington Coast region offering a wide… array of products, including handmade wooden toys and organic skincare items. Visitors can find diverse clothing options, an abundance of plants, and something to cater to every taste. Additionally, the market offers face painting and the renowned Marine Rescue barbecue.

This is a monthly event held on the last Sunday of each month. So once again shine up those cars and bikes, all are welcome. Again we will have a trophy and voucher for best in show, voucher for… runner up. We will be adding a trophy for best bike also. Don’t forget great food and coffee on-site. The Women’s State Carnival will return to the Manning Great Lakes Region from 5-9 May 2025! This annual event is played in teams of four and is open to all female bowlers from anywhere in Australia.… With three days of guaranteed play for participants, the State Carnival is a festival of bowls like no other! The Women’s State Carnival will be held from 5 – 9 May 2025, with sectional play to be held across the following venues: Forster Bowling Club – Main Host and Sectional Venue Hallidays Sports Club – Sectional Venue Pacific Palms Bowling Club – Sectional Venue Club West Taree – Sectional Venue Taree Leagues Bowling Club – Sectional Venue Tuncurry Forster Sports Bowling Club – Sectional Venue Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club – Sectional Venue Old Bar Bowling Club – Sectional Venue All post-sectional rounds will be played at Forster Bowling Club on Thursday 8th & Friday 9th May. Players compete in fours teams. The event is open to all female bowlers from anywhere in Australia with no requirement for players to belong to the same club. Every team competes in sectional play over the first three days, with each day of play taking place at a different venue. Post-sectional knockout rounds take place over the final two days at Forster Bowling Club. Entries will open on Tuesday, 5th November, with a fee of $160 per team.

Great Lakes Historic Automobile Club presents Motorfest 2025. If it’s on wheels, we welcome it at Motorfest: veteran, vintage and classic cars, motorcycles, muscle cars, hot rods, stationary… engines, street machines and more! Created by the Great Lakes Historic Automobile Club some thirty-odd years ago, this annual event has become a great day out for families and car buffs alike. Every year our Club strives to put on a bigger and better event. Entry to the public is free. The vehicle display fee is $15 per vehicle and proceeds are donated to a local charity.

Come and Run Forster Tuncurry – 17th August 2025 Now in its 13th year, this event has grown significantly over the years to have close to 2,000 runners and walkers participating. Run Fest Forster Tuncurry… has become a major regional event with local participation and a large number of travelers heading to Forster Tuncurry to indulge in our beautiful area. Through this partnership with Eire Constructions we’ll seek to continue the growth and firmly put Run Fest Forster – Tuncurry on the calendar as a destination event. We now offer you another reason to get away for a perfect spring weekend and visit our beautiful town in the Great Lakes. Surrounded by ocean and the stunning Wallis Lake, you will make your way running over the Forster Tuncurry Bridge and along both break walls. This is one of the most picturesque run courses you will ever experience. All event course(s) take in the stunning foreshore areas of both towns and connecting bridge. Whether you are an elite athlete, jogger or walker, there is an event for everyone. The event will be staged from Forster Main Beach area. Enjoy a family day out of fun and fitness where you can choose from the Kids 3km Fun Run, 5km Run, 10km Run and a Half Marathon. Alternatively, you can choose to take on the ultimate challenge: the “Treble Bridge Buster”. Not a runner? Team up with your friends and family and enjoy the beautiful 3km IMF #RunSweatInspire event. Take your pick of events and join us in Forster Tuncurry this August. We generally have beautiful weather during for the running festival, which is perfect for a dip in the ocean after the run. Up for the Buster in 2024, complete the Half Marathon + 10km and 5km events. The combined distance of the Buster is 36.1km and includes 10 runs over the iconic Forster Tuncurry Bridge. The Bridgell Buster is a fantastic challenge for the seasoned fun runner or a fantastic hit out if you are looking to step up to running marathon. In addition all finisher’s names will be added to the Treble Bridge Buster Honour Roll.
